Support Engineer

We are looking for a structural engineer with a B.Sc bachelor's degree minimum, graduate degree preferred, to provide technical support to LARSA 4D users. Recent graduates OK, 1-2 years experience preferable. Candidates should have the following background:

  • Finite element analysis
  • Basic dynamics
  • And be ready to learn advanced analysis methods including nonlinear analysis

Candidates should be prepared to:

  • Provide technical phone support to users of LARSA 4D
  • Develop example and verification problems with corresponding documentation
  • Write technical documentation and prepare other support media

Programming experience a big plus.

This is a full-time position in our Melville, New York office.

Marketing and Sales Associate

We are looking for a college graduate with strong communications skills to assist in the sales and marketing of LARSA products. Candidates must be comfortable with computers, and familiarity with structural engineering is a plus.

Candidates should be prepared to:

  • Speak to potential and existing clients
  • Design and execute presentations and demos, and other marketing materials
  • Travel to clients and conferences both in the United States and abroad

The marking and sales engineer will also be expected to assist in other areas of the company, including:

  • Assisting technical support staff
  • Writing documentation and preparing other marketing media

This is a full-time position based in our Melville, New York office.

Technical Office Associate

We are looking for an exceptional college student or college graduate with technical skills, such as computer programming and website design, to assist part-time in various capacities in our office. The technical office associate should have a desire to learn and can assist in:

  • Managing incoming support calls
  • Improving our website, if skills available
  • Providing basic technical support, such as writing program macros, if skills available
  • Writing and editing documentation and sales media
  • Assisting in accounts management

Valuable skills include:

  • Communication skills
  • Website design skills (HTML)
  • Programming skills (Visual Basic, C#, etc.)

This is a part-time position based in our Melville, New York office.

Visual Media Assistant

We are looking for a part time assistant to develop digital visual media for us. College students or recent graduates with experience in digital visual media are encouraged to apply.

The primary role of the visual media assistant will be to create training videos for our software, based on our existing written manuals. The videos will primarily combine screen capture and narration. Experience with software such as Camtasia Studio, Adobe Premier, or other similar applications is required. You will also have to be comfortable using and learning unfamiliar software to create the video screen captures of our software. The abilities to proof read, write, and record narration based on our existing manuals is a major plus.

The visual media assistant can also assist us in expanding and maintaining our website. Part of this task will be to convert our product brochure into web pages. Experience with HTML and image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro is required.

The visual media assistant may also help us in preparing our software documentation for print publication if the skills are available. Cover art, proof reading, and other publishing tasks may be involved.

This is a part time position in our Melville office. Hours are flexible, up to 20 hours per week. Rate starts at $15/hr, but may be more based on experience.
